Hearts & Hands, a joint ministry of the Churches of Christ.
In 1991 a new sign was placed on a building at the back of the parking lot of North Davis Church of Christ that read, "Hearts & Hands, a joint ministry of the Churches of Christ.” That was the beginning of a ministry that is still running strong. Five Arlington congregations participate in this joint effort: North Davis, Pleasant Ridge, Hillcrest, Park Row and Woodland West.
Each week these congregations work side by side to provide the funds, resources, and volunteers to help hurting people in the community. Since 1991, Hearts & Hands has offered assistance to people in need and spiritual guidance for lost souls.
Members from Woodland West Church of Christ serve at Hearts & Hands every Tuesday morning. These volunteers pick up donated food, stock shelves, sort clothing, package food, and do clerical work. When those in need arrive there are counselors and volunteers for them to pray with. 30-40 families are taken care of physically and spiritually everyday.

A Glimpse of God’s Love
Our goal is to provide a tangible expression of the faith that is within us, in His name and for His glory, by providing food and clothing to needy Arlington-area families.
People from different church families are working together to serve their community, children are learning how to serve from people of earlier generations, and people from all walks of life are praying for God’s peace and mercy for one another. Hearts & Hands is a people showing God’s love.
