Children's Ministry
Ministry led by Emily Burns
Emily Burns is part of the Woodland West Church of Christ staff and has served as the Children's Minister since 2008. She believes that God has called her to minister to children and their families, and she has fully committed her life to this calling.
We're All-Stars, Champions for God!
The children's ministry at Woodland West Church of Christ is a safe, controlled environment for newborns through 6th grade. While being an All-Star is always fun, it's also much more than that. We help those in need, learn and experience God's love, and grow deeper relationships with each other.
To foster growth of our kids and their families, we offer programs such as Bible classes, Vacation Bible School (VBS), children's worship, summer camps, mission trips, parent training events, and much more.
For families with children under the age of 3 we offer a fully staffed nursery who will care for your kids during worship services. While you're worshiping with your peers, your little ones will also be learning amazing Bible stories from the nursery teachers.
We place much emphasis on expanding your children's spiritual knowledge. During adult worship services we also offer a special worship time for all kids up to 6th grade. Following worship there are additional Bible classes for everybody. We offer classes for you and your kids on Wednesday night as well.
It's All Because of You!
Every aspect of the children's ministry is made possible by the support of our members and those who volunteer to teach, lead, and guide our kids. Every volunteer goes through an extensive background check to ensure the safety all children.
The families and children at Woodland West Church of Christ are made up of many cultures and backgrounds — this is what make us unique. Because of our diversity, we get to experience God's family without boundaries. We love our awesome God and invite you to be part of our family!
